You have probably tried already. Talking more, more calmly, more directly. Sometimes it helps for a while. Then the same thing comes back.
Maybe you grit your teeth "for the good of the relationship" or for the children. It feels responsible - so you hold on, even though it hurts more and more often.
The problem is that this does not repair the relationship. It moves you apart, builds resentment, and sooner or later it either explodes or quietly turns into escape - into work, substances, the children, sometimes even sport.
It looks like coping. Inside, it is still the same unnamed problem.
Because difficulties in relationships rarely come from a lack of good will. Usually several things overlap: relational trauma from the past, an attachment style carried from childhood, a learned way of communicating, habits, how you handle your own emotions, nervous system regulation, sometimes also patterns from the family system you grew up in. These layers stack on each other and switch on automatically, before you can think.
That is why at LAS we do not start with communication techniques. We work in an integrative way - matching the approach to what actually sits behind your pattern, not to one universal method.
